Lexington Park, MD — Investigators are probing a fire early Wednesday morning, Feb 11 that caused extensive damage to a stolen pickup truck. The fire was reported at shortly after midnight in a wooded area off the 46000 block of Signature Lane in Lexington Park.
The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and the Seventh District VFD responded to the call. According to Deputy State Fire Marshal Don Brenneman, “The ongoing investigation revealed that the truck was reported stolen from ACSI Concrete Company in Lexington Park.” Owner is listed at Dennis Atlas.
Estimated loss to the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado is $20,000. Brenneman says the fire originated in the truck’s interior. Brenneman said the fire was incendiary.
