A joint investigation between the Office of the State Fire Marshal and the Calvert and Charles County Sheriffโ€™s Office continues in attempting to locate the person or persons responsible for taking and setting on fire a 2007 GMC Yukon.

The vehicle owned by Paul H. Harley from St. Leonard was destroyed from the intentionally set fire. A passerby discovered the vehicle parked and on fire along Riverside Road at Md. Point Observatory Road in Charles County. Firefighters from Nanjemoy Volunteer Fire Company responded to the 10:22 p.m. fire and had the fire extinguished within minutes. The fire caused an estimated $44,000.00 damage to the vehicle.

Deputy State Fire Marshals learned the vehicle was reportly taken from in front of Harleyโ€™s home in Calvert County earlier in the evening. A motive for the fire is unknown at this time.
