Cameron James Taylor

Bryans Road, MD— On April 29, members of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Enforcement Section conducted a search warrant at a home on Adelphi Lane in Bryans Road in response to multiple complaints of possible drug dealing at the house.

During the execution of the search and seizure warrant, the defendant, who was identified as Cameron James Taylor, 23 of Bryans Road, was located in his bedroom on the second level of the residence. 

While searching Taylor’s bedroom, there were several pieces of evidence recovered, including– “a semi-automatic handgun that had been reported stolen through South Carolina, 85 grams of marijuana, a digital scale and other evidence,” according to charging documents. 

A further search of Taylor’s bedroom revealed several additional small bags of suspected marijuana–individually prepackaged for street sale and a digital scale with suspected marijuana residue. 

Taylor was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen firearm and possession of illegal drugs with the intent to distribute, theft less than $1,000 and possession of a firearm in relation to drug trafficking. 

Taylor at this time does not have a scheduled court date. Taylor faces a maximum jail sentence of 68 years and/or a maximum fine of $69,000.
