Brandywine, MD – On Dec.23 at 2:13 a.m., an unknown suspect intentionally set fire to the exterior of a Ford Expedition, the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office reported. The vehicle fire resulted in $5,000 in structure damages. It took 10 firefighters 10 minutes to control the vehicle fire. The responding company was Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department. 

The fire was discovered by a driver who was driving past the car on fire. The vehicle was reportedly stolen from Washington, DC. The preliminary cause of the fire has been concluded as incendiary. Witnesses or anyone with information about this fire are asked to call the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office, Southern Region at  443 -550-6834.
