Saturday a few young men from Northern Virginia who perform music under the name Super bob returned to the area to perform for local fans who say that the band has been dearly missed.
Jenna Shegogue said, “I’ve been coming out to see (Super) bob for all of their local shows and they always put on (expletive) great shows.” Further, Shegogue said, “They always have so much energy and the music is always original.”
The band has been mainly playing on the southeast coast and they are in the process of recording a new album in Miami, Florida. For the past three years now the members of Super bob have been returning to the area of Southern Maryland for a few reasons.
The lead singer Matt Santaro explains the reasons they keep coming back, he said, “Southern Maryland is just fun. I mean, the people are really nice down here. I don’t think we’ve met any mean people since we’ve been here and it’s so pretty, with all the water it’s just so nice.”
Super bob possesses a stage presence that is rarely seen in our area they describe their own music as being “energetic fun hard rock.”
The band consists of four members, vocalist Matt Santaro, guitarist Adam Smith, bassist Drew Recny and a new addition to the group drummer Christopher Faircloth. All the bands members surprisingly have very different taste in what type of music they prefer to listen to. The vocalist Santaro prefers Rap while the bassist Recny would much rather classical and Smith the guitarist likes primarily 80s rock while the drummer Faircloth prefers Metal to anything else.
