Prince Frederick, MD — The Harriet Elizabeth Brown (shown) Commemoration Task Force to honor Calvert County’s own civil rights hero recently held its third and final hearing to get public input and recommendations. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the task force meeting scheduled for Monday, November 2, had been cancelled. Task Force meetings are open to the public and we welcome observers. Our remaining two meetings will be held on December 7 and 14 at the College of Southern Maryland in Prince Frederick, Building B, Conference Room (PFB 112). We are currently finalizing the times: both will be in the afternoon.
