ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Hogan for Governor campaign today announced that the Maryland Asphalt Association (MAA), the Maryland Ready Mix Concrete Association (MRMCA, and the Maryland Motor Truck Association (MMTA) are proud to endorse Governor Hogan for re-election. These three endorsements add to the historic level of bipartisan support for Governor Hogan throughout Maryland.

“Under Governor Hogan, deferred maintenance for our roads and bridges is becoming a thing of the past,” said Marshall Klinefelter, President of Maryland Asphalt Association. “Over the last four years, this governor has made investing in building safe and reliable transportation infrastructure a top priority, committing over $8 billion to fixing roads and bridges throughout Maryland. Now, the Maryland Asphalt Association is proud to endorse the governor for re-election because our state cannot afford to turn back now.”

“Under Governor Hogan’s tremendous leadership, Maryland families have benefited from a revitalized, growing economy. The Maryland Ready Mix Concrete Association knows our state cannot afford to turn back now, and we are proud to endorse Governor Hogan for re-election,” said Tom Evans, Executive Director of the Maryland Ready Mix Concrete Association. “We look forward to working with Governor Hogan in his second term.”

“The MMTA is pleased to announce our endorsement of Governor Hogan,” said Louis Campion, President of the Maryland Motor Truck Association. “The governor has been a tremendous advocate for our industry, and the steps he’s taken to rebuild Maryland’s crumbling infrastructure have positively impacted not just our members, but all Marylanders.”

During his first term, Governor Hogan has successfully enacted pro-growth, pro-business policies that have boosted Maryland’s economy. Over the last four years, over 100,000 jobs have been created and after nearly a decade of more than 40 crushing tax increases, the governor has delivered $1.2 billion in tax, toll, and fee relief. Governor Hogan has also streamlined or eliminated nearly 850 burdensome regulations since taking office.

“I am incredibly proud to receive the support of the Maryland Ready Mix Concrete Association, the Maryland Motor Truck Association, and the Maryland Asphalt Association,” said Governor Hogan. “These endorsements are a validation of the hard work our administration has undertaken over the last four years to grow Maryland’s economy. I look forward to working with these groups over the next four years as we continue our work making Maryland a more affordable place to live, work, raise a family, and retire in my second term.”
