Solomons, MD — With the famous Solomons Island Tiki Bar’s season closing event straight ahead this Saturday, one other final annual event was held over the weekend. Humans and animals filled the midway beside the bar for the annual Tiki Bar’s Dog-Gone Family Pet Day. This year Patuxent Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) was a partner in the event.

The day included a number of free contests, including costume, look-alike, tricks, and happiest dog.

A number of vendors lined the midway with gifts and treats for the two-legged and four-legged visitors. They were joined by rescue groups showing off some of their adoptable pets.

Food was provided by Myra’s New Orleans truck.

With a little butt sniffing and play making from the dogs, everything went off without minimum of canine drama. And many of the humans dressed up for the pre-Halloween fun.

Raffles and a silent auction were held for the benefit of PAWS.
