The Leonardtown Planning and Zoning Commission Monday gave re-approvals to four office projects that have stalled due to the economy or regulatory issues. According to Lee Ann Adler, town zoning administrator, the Maryland General Assembly had approved extensions of local planning approvals because of the economy, but that bill expires at the end of the year, so the commission had to take action to extend the approvals. The new extensions would give the developers five years to complete all approvals and apply for a building permit.
The re-approvals were:
ย
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย Concept re-approval for Mummaugh Warehouse and Office Project at 22645 Van Wert Kane. It was originally approved in 2010.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย Final site plan re-approval for Dr. Lukeโs Office Building Expansion at 26220 Point Lookout Road. It was originally approved in 2007.
ยทย ย ย ย ย ย Concept re-approval for two office buildings adjacent to the restaurant at Sterling House on Washington Street. It was originally approved in 2006.
