UPDATE – 9/5/2024 – 38-Year-Old Waldorf Man Struck And Killed By Dump Truck While Crossing The Road
WALDORF, Md. — A pedestrian was fatally struck by a dump truck in a tragic accident on Wednesday afternoon in Waldorf, Maryland.
The incident occurred on September 4, 2024 around 3:35 p.m. at the intersection of Middletown Road and Lexington Drive. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find a man, estimated to be about 30 years old, deceased beneath a truck.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was uninjured.
Police have not released the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
