LA PLATA, Md. — Trollinger Law LLC is accepting applications for its 2026 Community Impact Scholarship, awarding $500 to one graduating senior from each of Charles County’s seven public high schools.
The scholarship builds on the firm’s expanding community outreach efforts across Southern Maryland. In 2025, Trollinger Law coordinated a large-scale youth engagement event in partnership with D.C. United, providing La Plata Youth Soccer’s TOPSoccer athletes — a program serving young players with disabilities — with transportation, on-field access at Audi Field and a professional game-day experience. The firm has continued to broaden its participation in regional civic and legal initiatives, reinforcing its focus on service beyond the courtroom.

The scholarship honors students who have made community service a meaningful part of their high school experience. Firm representatives said the initiative reflects Trollinger Law’s continued investment in supporting the Southern Maryland community.
To be eligible, applicants must be a senior at a Charles County public high school, maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA and be accepted to attend a post-secondary institution, including a university, community college or vocational school. Applicants must also be U.S. residents and in good academic standing.
Students must submit a 500-word essay explaining how their service work has created lasting impact and how they plan to continue serving others through their education and career. A resume is required with the application.
Submissions are due by Wednesday, April 15, 2026. The firm states that any use of artificial intelligence to produce or assist with the essay will result in disqualification.
Only selected recipients will be contacted. Scholarship funds will be sent directly to the student’s chosen college, university or trade school financial aid office.
Graduating seniors can find additional local scholarship opportunities on the Charles County Public Schools scholarship and financial aid page, which is regularly updated throughout the year.
