At 12 p.m. April 16, Trooper Jenkins of the LaPlata barrack stopped a vehicle traveling northbound on U.S. Rt. 301, south of Acton Lane, for the driver not being restrained by his seat belt.

A computer check revealed the driver, William David Forsyth, 31, of Waldorf, was wanted through the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.

He was arrested, and a search incident to arrest revealed suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

He was subsequently charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia, and incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.
