Annapolis, MD —ย  Child care providers who want to further their education may be eligible for tuition assistance from the State of Maryland.

The Child Care Career and Professional Development Fund (CCCPDF) helps child care providers pay for a college education at participating colleges/universities in Maryland.

Assistance is available to study early childhood education, child development, elementary education, and special education. Payments are made directly to the college or university.

To qualify, applicants must work in a licensed child care center or be a registered family child care provider in Maryland and work at least 10 hours per week and be able to show theyย worked with children for at least a year in an approved setting.They must also be registered with the Maryland Child Care Credential Program at Level Two or higher

Plus, they agree to complete a child care service requirement in Maryland for at least 10 hours per week after getting their degree.

Applicants will also need to fulfill the entrance requirements for the college of their choice.ย
