UPDATE – Two Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide In St. Mary’s County
MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — Authorities in St. Mary’s County are investigating after two people were found dead inside a home in Mechanicsville on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the 28000 block of Livingston Drive, where they discovered the bodies, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.
Investigators believe the incident is isolated, and there is no known threat to the public. Law enforcement officials did not immediately disclose the identities of the deceased or the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
A heavy police presence will remain at the scene for several hours as detectives work to determine what happened. Authorities are urging residents to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
