Attempted Robbery:
On July 14, 2011, Sgt Eric Walker responded to a residence in Lexington Park for a reported
attempted robbery. Sgt Walker learned the victim was in the vicinity of the CVS in Lexington
Park waiting for the STS bus when she was approached by Ruben Arnoldo Gurreas-Hurnandaz
18 years old of Lexington Park. After a short conversation, Gurreas-Hurnandaz grabbed the
victims book bag and attempted to flee. After a short struggle, the victim was able to maintain
custody of their bag as the suspect fled. Gurreas-Hurnandaz was located by an off duty deputy
sheriff and arrested. Ruben Arnold Gurreas-Hurnandaz was charged with Strong-Arm Robbery
and released to the custody of the St. Maryโs County Detention Center pending an appearance
before the District Court Commissioner.
Assault-Second Degree:
On July 16, 2011, Dfc Michael Boyer responded to a residence in Lexington Park for an assault.
While on-scene, Dfc Boyer learned Bryan Edward Tournay 47 years old of Lexington Park
became involved in an argument with a female victim. During the argument, Tournay assaulted
the victim causing injury. Bryan Edward Tournay was arrested and released to the custody
of the St. Maryโs County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court
Commissioner.
