On Monday, July 25, 2011, at approximately 10:00 am, the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad (Co.6) along with North Beach (Co 1) and Dunkirk (Co. 5) and two Medic units responded to 104 Dalrymple Road for a reported serious accident. The Huntingtown station was already on another call in the Prince Frederick area. The Squad from Huntingtown was released to run the auto accident call.
This was a single vehicle with just the driver. The vehicle ran off of Dalrymple Road near the 104 block and went across the field area, jumped over the driveway and into the woods, and finally stopped with an impact to tree in the woods. The driver was removed from the vehicle and CPR was being done at the scene. The driver was taken to an ambulance ASAP with CPR still being done and transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital.
Sheriff’s Department is handling the investigation.
