Calvert County, MD — Vandals had an especially busy week in Calvert County, damaging a house, truck, and several mailboxes.
On August 18, a series of damaged mailboxes were reported on Southern Pine Lane in Port Republic,
On August 20, there was another complaint from Southern Pine Lane for the same incident. The complainant advised his mailbox was damaged and multiple packages were missing that had been delivered to his house. The value of the stolen packages is approximately $40 and the damaged mailbox is worth approximately $50.
On August 23, a resident of Commanche Road in Lusby for the reported an unknown suspect(s) shot his house multiple times with a paintball gun. The estimated value of damaged property is $50.
On August 23, a complainant advised that sometime between August 14th and 15th an unknown suspect(s) damaged his mailbox on Ball Road in St. Leonard. The estimated value of damaged property is $20-50.
On August 24, a mailbox on Vista Lane in Lusby was broken off the post and thrown into the woods about 20 feet away.
On August 24, the owner of a truck on Hunt Court in Huntingtown reported than an unknown suspect poured gasoline into the diesel tank of his truck causing $11,000 in damage to the fuel system on August 14, and later on August 23 an unknown suspect spray painted “wes got gas mf” on the side of his trailer. No structural damage was caused to the trailer.
