La Plata, MD – Local law enforcement has given the citizens it serves and protects 24/7 one more reason to love them. Christmas is steadily approaching, the rush is on and stress levels are rising. Seems police officers are ready to โ€œshake it offโ€ by dancing. At least it seems one Charles County police officer is ready to dance.

Saturday, Dec. 10 while on patrol in the St. Charles Town Center parking lot, Cpl. Juan Morales of the Charles County Sheriffโ€™s Office suddenly just got happy feet. A now-popular video shows what happened

โ€œIt was totally spontaneous,โ€ Morales told TheBayNet.com. โ€œThe camera doesnโ€™t show everything.โ€ The impromptu โ€œdance-offโ€ started when the other individual in the video cranked up the music on his car stereo. When he began playing a popular Taylor Swift song, thatโ€™s when the dance show started.

โ€œIt was one of those fun things,โ€ said Morales. โ€œItโ€™s amazing how quick that video has moved. Absolutely amazing how it spread through the Internet.โ€

Morales said another officer shot the videoโ€”you can hear the laughter. Of nearly 600 comments received on Charles County Sheriffโ€™s Office Facebook page, as of late Tuesday, morning, Dec. 13, Morales noted only two or three were negative.
