LEONARDTOWN, Md. — A woman and a child were flown to hospitals Thursday afternoon after a serious two-vehicle crash on Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown.
The crash was reported around 3:28 p.m. June 4, 2026, at Point Lookout Road and Camp Cosoma Road.
Crews arrived to find two vehicles involved in a rear-end collision with airbag deployment. Initially reported a trapped occupant, but later confirmed no one was trapped.
Emergency personnel evaluated two adults and one child at the scene.
A medevac was requested for a 38-year-old woman and a 6-year-old boy, and MSPAC Trooper 2 landed nearby. The woman was flown to MedStar Washington Hospital Center, and the child was flown to Children’s National Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
