Shortly after noon Monday, Bay District Volunteer Firefighters and Lexington Park Volunteer Rescue Squad members were dispatched to a crash on Pegg Road, with at least one person injured.
The driver of a Dodge Viper reportedly pulled onto Pegg Road from the vicinity of George’s Body Shop at a high rate of speed and lost control. The vehicle slid sideways into oncoming traffic, striking an SUV.
The driver of the vehicle struck was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital. The Viper driver refused treatment at the scene.
