The final homestand of the 2017 regular season features the fan-favorite Oktoberfest event and Nationals Beer Stein giveaway. Popular events like the K Street Section and Pups in the Park also return. In addition, the Nationals will host George Mason Day, Teacher Appreciation Night and Youth Sports Day, as well as Margaritaville Night, benefiting Hurricane Irma relief efforts.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 28
College Day – George Mason University: Come out and show your Patriot pride as the Nationals host George Mason Day. Join other Green and Gold students, faculty and alumni as the Patriots take over the ballpark for a day. With the purchase of a special ticket, fans will receive a discounted game ticket which includes a New Era George Mason/Nationals co-branded hat. Margaritaville Night: All Parrotheads are invited to join the Nationals on Thursday! Fans who purchase a special ticket will receive $10 of loaded value that can be spent on concessions and merchandise in the ballpark. In addition, the first 500 people to arrive and show their Margaritaville ticket will receive an exclusive Margaritaville-themed Washington Nationals T-shirt. • DC STEM Fair Winners: The Nationals will be joined by the DC State Superintendent of Education and the DC STEM Network for a special pregame recognition of the winners of this year’s city-wide elementary and secondary school STEM Fairs. The elementary, middle and high school students who will be honored on Thursday took home the top prizes among hundreds of students for their projects on topics ranging from botany to systems software. With education being one of the team’s core community relations pillars, the Nationals are proud to support STEM learning in the community, including through the Nationals STEM Education and Grand Slam Schools initiatives.

Councilmember Recognition: The Nationals continue to recognize members of the Council of the District of Columbia before games this season. The Nationals have provided constituents with tickets to see Councilmember At-Large Elissa Silverman participate in a special on-field ceremony on Thursday to acknowledge her contributions to the city and ongoing support of the team. 

McDonald’s Iced Coffee Sampling: McDonald’s will provide complimentary iced coffee samples on the corner of Half and N Streets as fans enter and exit the ballpark, while supplies last.

Team Store Special: During the series against the Pirates, fan will receive a free shot glass with any $75 purchase at the Main Team Store, while supplies last.

Budweiser Terrace Entertainment: DJ Stylus Chris will be performing at the Budweiser Terrace starting at 5:00 p.m.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29
Oktoberfest – Beer Stein Giveaway Presented by Budweiser: Put on your lederhosen and come celebrate Oktoberfest at Nationals Park! The first 20,000 fans ages 21 and up to enter Nationals Park through ALL GATES will receive a Nationals Beer Stein presented by Budweiser. In honor of the occasion, The Edelweiss Band and The Alpine Dancers will perform in Center Field Plaza, and there will be special Oktoberfest-themed food items available at the concession stands, including Sauerkraut Balls, Chicken Schnitzel and Besensteil (broomstick) Bratwurst. K Street Section: The superfan section at Nationals Park, the K Street Section, returns for the final time this season. During the last Friday home game of each month, fans can purchase a special ticket package that includes a field level ticket in Section 108 or 109, an exclusive T-shirt and a ‘K-card’ to help cheer on the Nationals’ pitchers. Friday’s event is SOLD OUT.

Teacher Appreciation Night #3: In recognition of all they do for the community, the Nationals host three games dedicated to all teachers, administrators and school employees in the D.C. area. Attendees will enjoy discounted tickets loaded with concession credits and will receive a Nationals water bottle, while supplies last. Winterfest Tickets: From 5:00 p.m. until the end of the third inning, Santa Claus will be at the Advanced Ticket Sales window in Center Field Plaza to celebrate Winterfest tickets being on sale in-park. Winterfest will be held Saturday, December 16 and Sunday, December 17 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Fans who purchase Winterfest tickets at the window will receive a special gift from Santa, while supplies last.

Bob Carpenter Scorebook Signing: Nationals play-by-play announcer Bob Carpenter will be signing scorebooks at the Main Team Store from 5:30 – 6:15 p.m.

Nationals Youth Baseball Academy Day: The Nationals Youth Baseball Academy will celebrate the children, families and partners who have supported the program that changes the lives of boys and girls living in Washington, D.C. Before the game against the Pirates, Academy Scholar-Athletes and supporters will be honored on the field. They’ll help greet the team and throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Throughout the game, fans will learn more about the impact the Academy is having on kids, as well as how to get more involved. Pups in the Park #6 Presented by Budweiser: Nationals fans and their canine friends are invited to the final Pups in the Park presented by Budweiser. Fans and their pups will enjoy the designated Pup Zone in the Family Picnic Area, featuring pet sitters and representatives from the Humane Rescue Alliance and Fetch! Pet Care. All proceeds from dog tickets benefit the Humane Rescue Alliance. Saturday’s event is SOLD OUT.

D.C. Fire & EMS Service Dog Retirement Ceremony: In conjunction with the last Pups in the Park of the season, the Nationals will honor ‘Dozen’, ‘Roo’, and ‘Cazo’, three recently-retired D.C. Jerseys Off Their Backs Raffle: Fans will have the opportunity to win authenticated game-worn, autographed jerseys right off the backs of Nationals players and Manager Dusty Baker as part of the Nationals Dream Foundation’s annual Jerseys Off Their Backs fundraiser. Throughout the Pirates series, fans can purchase $5 raffle tickets on the Main Concourse adjacent to the Budweiser Terrace escalator near Section 143 or from roving ticket sellers for the chance to win one of 26 jerseys. Winners will be announced during the game on Sunday. Participants need not be present to win. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Nationals Dream Foundation. Signature Sunday: Join the Nationals for a special edition of Signature Sunday! Starting at 2:00 p.m., special guests from the Nationals broadcast team and front office will sign autographs from the top of the home and visiting dugouts. Fans must obtain a free voucher to participate in the autograph sessions. Vouchers will be available at Section 103 starting at 1:00 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Youth Sports Day Presented by Inova Sports Medicine: The Nationals welcome all area teams and leagues to the first-ever Youth Sports Day presented by Inova. All youth sports players and coaches are invited to participate in a pregame parade along the warning track, and kids ages 12 and under can enjoy Kids Run the Bases following the game. The first 2,000 youth participating in the pregame parade will receive a Nationals athletic compression sleeve courtesy of Inova Sports Medicine. Nationals to Honor Lonnie Bunch: In recognition of his leadership as the director of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture, which celebrated the one-year anniversary of its opening this week, Lonnie G. Family Funday: Sunday is Family Funday at Nationals Park! Kids Run the Bases: All kids ages 4 through 12 will have the opportunity to run the bases after Sunday home games, weather permitting. GETTING TO THE BALLPARK
Parking options for Nationals fans start at $20 and are available online at nationals.com/Parking. Fans are encouraged to purchase parking in advance to ensure a space in their desired zone.

Fans can also get a ride to and from the ballpark at the tap of a button using Uber, the official ride-share partner of the Washington Nationals. When exiting the ballpark, fans are encouraged to head to one of Uber’s suggested pickup locations shown at nationals.mlb.com/promo/map:

Fans should also consider alternate forms of travel to and from the ballpark, including the D.C. Circulator from Union Station, biking to the ballpark or the baseball boat from Alexandria. Fans traveling to the ballpark should be aware that there are construction projects underway in the surrounding area. To ensure safe crossings, please be mindful of signage and directions given by public safety officers. 

BALLPARK SAFETY
Nationals Park is a completely non-smoking and tobacco-free facility per District of Columbia law. There is no exception for electronic cigarettes or any other type of smoking device, or for smokeless tobacco or any other type of tobacco product. Guests wishing to smoke or use tobacco products must go to the designated smoking area at the First Base Gate. Guests wishing to exit Nationals Park to smoke or use tobacco products must present a valid ticket and receive a wristband before exiting Nationals Park. Guests wishing to reenter Nationals Park must return through the metal detectors with a valid ticket and assigned wristband.

MLB and the Nationals require that all people entering Nationals Park walk through a metal detector or be screened with handheld metal detectors to search for prohibited items. This includes a thorough inspection of all jackets, coats, packages, bags, backpacks, purses and any other containers brought to any of the Nationals Park entry gates.
