PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Spring is here, and with (hopefully) warmer weather comes another batch of new businesses opening right here in Calvert County.

Dragonfly Crystal Store is a metaphysical supply store located at 165 Main Street in Prince Frederick. The store also offers Reiki sessions, workshops and more to help guests make the most out of the products and natural healing methods. The store is open 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays. Crack Shack BBQ is based in Lusby and can be found around Southern Maryland. The truck is dedicated to creating the best BBQ experience possible, and their usual menu includes sandwiches, wings, sides and specials. They’re known for their special, brisket queso, and fans so far are loving the simple, delicious menu. The company also has catering services. Iris & Co. Grooming Studio at 40 Dalrymple Road, Sunderland, is a new pet grooming studio dedicated to providing pet and pet owners with the best experience possible. Owner and founder Elyssa wrote on the business’s website that she’s dedicated to continually improving her education in pet care and plans to host grooming workshops in the future. Leitchvac is a new HVAC contractor in town, located at 4105 School Rd., Broomes Island. This locally owned and operated HVAC provider specializes in providing top-notch services to ensure comfort in homes and offices. My Mustard Seed Refuge is an expansion of beloved local farm, My Mustard Seed, a woman-owned and family-operated first-generation Black urban farm in Calvert County. The Refuge is the new farm store featuring thoughtfully curated produce and products from around the region.
