Kathleen Reif, Director of St. Mary’s County Library, is pleased to announce two new community partnerships which will provide library customers with the opportunity to win a MP3 player or computer.
Best Buy has donated six MP3 players and SMARTCO has donated 20 refurbished computers and a laptop for a drawing that is currently underway at each branch. The drawing of the winners will be on Sept. 23.
“So many valuable library services are now available only through the library’s Internet branch.” states Reif. “Best Buy and SMARTCO were eager to help us provide the necessary equipment so that more of our customers could use these resources.”
To enter the drawing the customer must have a library card and complete an entry form. Entry forms are available at all of the branches. Cards can be obtained at any library or online at www.stmalib.org.
The drawing will take place on Sept. 23, 2:00 p.m. during the Learn How to Download Workshop at the Lexington Park Library. The Geek Squad from Best Buy will present the workshop. They will demonstrate how to download the library’s audio books and videos and answer downloading questions.
