On April 3 at 5:48 p.m., after providing conflicting and false information to the staff of the emergency room at Calvert Memorial Hospital, a woman was arrested and charged with obtaining a controlled dangerous substance, percocet, by fraud, deceit and misrepresentation, unlawfully obtaining percocet by providing false information, hindering law enforcement, false statement to law enforcement and obtaining percocet by using a false name.
Emergency Room staff contacted police after becoming suspicious of the woman’s information and Dep. F. Winston determined the woman was using false information to obtain drugs.
Asia Dewana Ashford, 41 of Washington, D.C., was arrested on the scene.
