On December 26, 2011, deputies responded to a local bar on Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville, Maryland, for a report of a fight in the parking lot. Deputy Milam observed Kienna Sharese Curtis, 20, of Temple Hills, Maryland, yelling and pointing her finger at the victim. Deputy Milam ordered Curtis to leave the establishment. Curtis began leaving but then turned back and continued to yell and spit toward the victim. Deputy Milam told Curtis she was under arrest and attempted to handcuff her. Curtis pulled away and was walking towards the cars in the parking lot. Deputy Milam, aided by other officers, was able to apprehend Curtis. Curtis was charged with Assault Second Degree and Disorderly Conduct.
