On October 10th, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office report Deputies responded to a reported assault in the California area.
Deputy First Class William Ray discovered during his investigation that Thomas John Saunders was in violation of a current Protective Order. Saunders had gone to the victim’s residence, assaulted the victim, taken her vehicle, and fled the residence.
Deputies located Saunders and DFC Ray arrested him and charged him with violation of a Protective Order. A search incident to arrest revealed that Saunders was in possession of CDS paraphernalia.
Saunders was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was charged with 2nd Degree Assault ,Violation of Protective Order, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia and CDS not Marijuana. Suspect Saunders is currently awaiting a court date.
