Woman Travelling with Wanted Person Arrested for False Statement

On August 20, at 2:18 p.m., TFC J. A. Pilkerton responded to area of Pegg Road and Midway Drive in Lexington Park to assist Sgt. C. Force on a traffic stop.  She stopped a Ford Taurus for exceeding the posted speed limit and an equipment violation. 

During the course of the traffic stop, the driver, Malinda Michele Brock, 20 of Lexington Park, was arrested for providing a police officer a false statement as to the identity of the passenger, Antwaun Marquis Somerville, 20 of Great Mills, in the vehicle.  Somerville had an open warrant through the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office. 

Brock was transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where she was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
