A 13 year old female from Mechanicsville was stopped by Deputy Joseph Somerville in the area of a Mechanicsville school.
The suspect was operating the vehicle without a license and without her mother’s knowledge. A second 13 year old female was in the vehicle as well and she was identified as a “friend” of the suspect.
The friend was staying the weekend at the suspect’s home.
The juvenile operator was arrested, processed and released to her parent and is currently awaiting a hearing in the Juvenile Court.
