LA PLATA, Md. — An 18-month-old boy was flown to Children’s National Medical Center Sunday evening following a drowning incident at a home in La Plata.

Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 8:25 p.m. Aug. 9 to the 1300 block of Leicester Drive for a reported child drowning.
