PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — A Prince Frederick man is facing multiple misdemeanor charges after Calvert County Sheriff’s Office deputies alleged he repeatedly returned to a Taco Bell, threw ranch dressing and trash at an employee’s pickup truck, littered in the parking lot and created a disturbance.
Dakota Lee Chenevert, 18, of Prince Frederick, was charged in the District Court for Calvert County with malicious destruction of property valued at less than $1,000, littering or dumping less than 100 pounds, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace by making loud noise.
According to the application for statement of charges, a deputy responded to Taco Bell, located at 55 Steeple Chase Drive in Prince Frederick, on Aug. 2 for a reported destruction of property complaint.
Before arriving, the deputy was advised that a vehicle occupied by several teenagers had left the restaurant and was traveling north on North Solomons Island Road.
A Calvert County Sheriff’s Office sergeant later located the vehicle stopped at the traffic signal near Fox Run Boulevard. The deputy then initiated a traffic stop near Prince Frederick Boulevard and Chapline Place at the 7-Eleven.
Investigators identified Chenevert as the driver of the black Toyota Corolla. The front-seat passenger was identified and later cleared of damaging the vehicle or littering in the parking lot.
According to the deputy, Chenevert admitted he had gone through the Taco Bell drive-thru and spoke with an employee over the speaker and was “messing” with the employee before driving away and purchasing food, including ranch dressing, from the nearby McDonald’s.
Chenevert allegedly told investigators he then returned to Taco Bell. According to the report, Chenevert admitted throwing ranch dressing at the employee’s vehicle, telling deputies he was “just a young kid being stupid.”
The deputy also reported observing ranch dressing on the driver’s-side door of the vehicle Chenevert was driving.
The Taco Bell employee told investigators he informed the occupants of the vehicle that the restaurant was closed after it entered the drive-thru.
According to charging documents, the occupants then began using vulgar language toward him before pulling to the drive-thru window and repeatedly sounding the vehicle’s horn for approximately five to 10 minutes.
The employee further alleged the vehicle left the property before returning three additional times.
During one of those returns, investigators alleged Chenevert threw a ranch dressing packet and trash at the employee’s white 2021 Chevrolet Silverado.
The employee reported that ranch dressing splattered on the truck’s passenger-side door.
Deputies also observed a Taco Bell beverage cup, McDonald’s trash and ranch dressing packets on the ground beside the truck. According to the report, the employee stated the trash had originally been placed on his vehicle before Chenevert allegedly left it in the parking lot.
The employee estimated the damage to his truck was less than $1,000.
Photographs of the vehicle and surrounding area were taken as evidence, according to the application.
The Taco Bell manager told deputies he wanted Chenevert to be permanently trespassed from the business.
A hearing is set for Sept. 21, 2026, in Calvert District Court.
