GREAT MILLS, Md. — We are receiving reports this evening of a possible shooting that occurred in Great Mills.
At approximately 7:50 p.m. on November 20, first responders were dispatched to the 45000 block of Foxchase Drive for the reported shooting. The caller had indicated that a single patient had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
Upon arrival, first responders struggled to locate the patient and initially put EMS back in service. However, soon after that, police located the patients who were believed to have been involved.
Crews discovered two patients on the scene who had been involved in an incident and had sustained injuries. One patient had sustained injuries to their head and a second patient was located with injuries to their arm.

After arriving, EMS were unable to determine if the injuries had been the result of a shooting or some other means. First responders have deemed the incident a “possible shooting” while they work to determine the exact cause of the injuries.
Both patients on the scene have been described having “graze wounds” following the incident. Both patients have been described as being conscious, alert and breathing at this time.
Both patients were observed on the scene walking to the ambulance for medical attention.
