Commander Steve Jones of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office told The BayNet that a neighbor started their car outside their home. Two eight-year-old children entered the car and put it in drive, hitting a tree.
The children were trapped in the car. One child was transported by helicopter with a leg injury. According to Jones the injury was not life threatening and the transport was precautionary due to age and injury.
An accident on Couger Court in Lusby reportedly left two children pinned between a vehicle and a tree around 8:30 a.m. April 13.
Both children are reportedly being transported by helicopter.
