As of 8:30 a.m. today only 1,400 residences in Charles and Southern Prince Georges counties remained without power after falling trees caused scattered outages early Sunday morning in south PG, Charles, St. Mary’s and Calvert counties.
As of this morning three customers in St. Mary’s County and seven in Calvert County were without power. A SMECO spokeswoman told The Bay Net all service outages are expected to be fixed by later today.
A total of 5,300 customers lost power as the snowstorm moved in Saturday night. By 9 p.m. Sunday service had been restored to most who when out, leaving only 1,750 still in the dark.
