Lexington Park Man Eats Every Item On Showtime Deli Menu In 76-Day Challenge

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. — For most people, a New Year’s resolution fades within weeks. For Brady Bounds, it turned into a 76-day journey — one that ended with every item on the menu at Showtime Deli checked off.

What began as a personal challenge quickly grew into something more meaningful, rooted in both curiosity and community connection.

“My wife operates Morgan’s Barbershop, near Showtime, and she shares customers with them. It is good to know the menu when we are giving recommendations,” Bounds said in an interview with The BayNet. “That inspired me to eat the entire menu, not just my past preferences, and also my curiosity of what I might be missing.”

Over the course of 76 days, Bounds worked his way through the deli’s extensive lineup — from familiar staples to items he had only heard about. What he discovered along the way surprised him.

“The Foggy, Meatloaf, and LOX were entrees that surprised me with special flavors that made them superior to similar sandwiches that I had experienced,” he said.

Located in Lexington Park, Showtime Deli has built a reputation for its stacked sandwiches, customizable options and loyal customer base. For Bounds, the experience highlighted not just the variety of the menu, but the consistency behind it.

“Someone new to Showtime might want to try a sandwich that they were familiar with as a point of comparison. There were sandwiches that I had heard about but never previously eaten; hard to judge,” he said. “I’m confident Showtime will impress with any choice the customer makes.”

Bounds also pointed to the deli’s flexibility as part of what sets it apart.

“In addition, they customize with bread choices, cheese choices, condiments, and cooking such as grilling the entire sandwich after it is constructed so it can be served hot or warmed,” he added.

Even after completing the challenge, Bounds hasn’t stopped coming back. According to the deli, he continues to order his favorites; proof that while the resolution may be finished, the experience left a lasting impression.

In a world where resolutions are often short-lived, one local customer turned his into a story of dedication, discovery and community one sandwich at a time.
