On Nov. 18 at approximately 2:15 a.m., a white male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and 150 pounds, wearing a ski mask entered the 7-11 store in Mechanicsville brandishing, what appeared to be a shotgun wrapped in cloth, and demanded money. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demand and he fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
St. Mary’s County Sheriff and Maryland State Police patrol officers were assisted by MSP helicopter Trooper 2 as well as Charles and Calvert County Sheriff’s office K-9 Units in an extensive search of the area but the suspect was not located.
