PINEY POINT, Md. – The Southern Maryland Boat Club’s Annual Rumble on the River at Piney Point Landing is scheduled for two days of vintage race boats and racing from Saturday, June 8 to 9, 2024.
Vintage race boats from the 1950s to the 1980s will be on display with thrilling races throughout the weekend, showing their capabilities and speed on the water.
The event’s schedule is as follows:
Saturday, June 8th, 2024
Heats 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Lunch 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.
Heats 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Sunday, June 9th, 2024
Heats 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Lunch 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.
Heats 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
The event is hosted by The Southern Maryland Boat Club (SMBC) and sanctioned by the American Power Boat Association (APBA). Food trucks and tasty treats will be available at the free event.
Lawn chairs are encouraged for attendees to spectate.
