HUNTINGTOWN, Md. — Emergency crews rushed to the intersection of Route 4 and Plum Point Road Friday morning, following a two-vehicle collision that left at least one person trapped.

The crash, reported around 10 a.m. on July 4, 2025, involved a T-bone-style impact that prompted a multi-agency rescue response. Upon arrival, first responders found one person pinned inside a vehicle. Squad 2 initiated the extrication effort while Squad 6 personnel provided assistance. The patient was successfully freed within minutes.

Multiple patients were transported to area hospitals. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.

Traffic in the area was temporarily affected as emergency personnel worked the scene.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
