Suitland Woman Charged After Loaded Handgun Found During Glen Burnie Traffic Stop

GLEN BURNIE, Md. — A late-night traffic stop in Glen Burnie led to the arrest of a Suitland woman after police discovered a loaded handgun inside her vehicle.

At approximately 11:30 p.m. on October 10, 2025, an officer with the Anne Arundel County Police Northern District initiated a stop on a gray 2004 Buick near the intersection of Ritchie Highway and Furnace Branch Road East for a registration violation. During the encounter, the officer reportedly located a loaded 9mm Taurus handgun in the passenger compartment.

Police identified the driver as Arielle Octavia McGregor, 36, of Suitland. McGregor was arrested and charged with multiple misdemeanors, including possession of a loaded handgun in a vehicle, reckless endangerment, and carrying a handgun while under the influence.

Court records show McGregor is being held without bond at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.

A bail review hearing is scheduled for October 14 in Annapolis, followed by a trial date set for November 19 in Glen Burnie District Court.

The arresting officer was identified as Officer Walker of the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Northern District, based in Millersville.

The incident remains under investigation.
