INDIAN HEAD, Md. — A 50-year-old man was flown to a regional trauma center Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, after a car he was working on fell on him in Indian Head.

Emergency crews were dispatched shortly after 4:30 p.m. to a residence on Emma Lane for a report of a man injured while working on a vehicle. The caller told dispatchers the car had fallen on top of him and that he was bleeding.

Responders later reported there was no entrapment but requested a Maryland State Police medevac helicopter. Firefighters established the landing zone at Smallwood State Park.

Maryland State Police Trooper 7 airlifted the patient to UM Capital Region Medical Center with serious injuries.
