LEONARDTOWN, Md. — One person was injured Thursday morning when a pickup truck left the roadway and struck a tree in Leonardtown.
Emergency crews were dispatched around 9:25 a.m. Jan. 8, 2026 to the 24410 block of Maypole Road in Leonardtown, where they found the vehicle off the road with heavy damage. One of the occupants was trapped inside the truck and was out of the vehicle moments later.
Both occupants were evaluated at the scene by emergency medical personnel and one patient was transported to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
