ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Nominations are open for the 2026 Annie Awards, giving Anne Arundel County residents the chance to honor local leaders in the arts who are changing lives.
Since 2000, the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County has publicly recognized exceptional Annie Award winners for their lasting, significant and inspiring contributions to an art form, an arts organization and/or the wider community of Anne Arundel County. Nominations are accepted from any member of the Anne Arundel County community.
The Annie Awards offer nine categories for nominations: arts education, arts leadership, arts maverick, arts patron, historic arts, literary arts, performing arts, visual arts and lifetime achievement in the arts.
Anyone interested in submitting a nomination can view guidelines and fill out an application online. Nominations are open until Aug. 3, and winners will be honored in a ceremony at Maryland Hall on Oct. 5.
The awards are hosted by the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County, whose mission is to provide leadership, funding and support that promote artistic expression and historic preservation and to advocate for resources and education that expand arts opportunities for all, helping to create an enriched and healthy community.
