Tim Hortons Is Coming To A Maryland Town Near You

GAMBRILLS, Md. — The popular Canadian coffee and doughnut chain Tim Hortons is opening a new location in Anne Arundel County as part of its ongoing push into Maryland.

Signage was spotted by fans announcing that Tim Hortons was coming soon to the shopping center along Route 3 near the Night Hawk Golf Center. The shopping center is still under construction.

Currently, the only Tim Hortons location in Maryland is the store in Sykesville, though the company’s social media has referenced plans for locations in Eldersburg, Timonium and more. So far, there have been no release dates provided for any of the above locations, including the Gambrills location.

For Southern Maryland residents, the nearest Tim Hortons is the Sykesville location. Adding the Gambrills store will bring these popular products up to an hour closer, and the Gambrills location is near other busy shopping destinations like Arundel Mills. Previously, Maryland residents were most likely to get Tim Hortons on a road trip to the Northeast.

Founded in Canada in 1964 by professional hockey player Tim Horton and business partner Jim Charade, Tim Hortons serves coffee, doughnuts, baked goods and breakfast offerings. The chain is well-known for incorporating Canadian-themed elements and showcasing its Canadian pride.

Since its beginnings in Canada, Tim Hortons has grown into a global brand with locations around the world. Hopefully, soon, Southern Marylanders will have another chance to visit a store near them.
