SOLOMONS, Md. – Girl Scout Service Unit 11-10 is organizing a candlelight vigil for Girl Scouts across the Southern Maryland area this Saturday, November 10, 2018. This vigil will coordinate with the vigils and service project held nationwide in honor of the Girl Scouts who died Saturday, November 3 while performing community service in Chippewa Falls, WI.
We will be meeting at the Solomon’s Island Gazebo at 3 pm to pick up litter around the island, then doing a candlelight vigil from 4-4:30 pm. In addition, we have partnered with End Hunger for Calvert County to collect nonperishable food.
Girl Scouts past and present, families, and the public are encouraged to attend. We are expecting over 100 people from across Southern Maryland at this event.
