Huntingtown, MD – Celebrating their senior night, the host team, Huntingtown High Hurricanes started all five seniors on their team in their last home regular season game.

As a team they hit 4 three point baskets in the quarter, and dominated all phases of the game for the quarter. With 1.8 left on the clock in the first quarter, Leonardtown guard David Huffman was fouled while shooting a 3 point shot. He made the first and last of his free throws. Huntingtown forward Tony Tavares took the inbounds pass and turn and heaved a shot down court as the buzzer sounded. The ball banked off the backboard and into the basket. Tavares shot the ball from the opposite three point line. The entire Huntingtown crowd got into the game at that moment.

The Hurricanes led 54-38, and looked to coast to the end of the game.
The fourth quarter consisted of the Hurricanes pressing their thumbs down on any chance the Raiders had of coming back.
