Sgt. Juan Morales

WALDORF, Md. – Meet Sergeant Juan Morales. Sgt. Morales has worked for CCSO for 12 years, and in that time he has served in the Patrol and Criminal Investigations Divisions. Prior to joining the Agency, he attended the United States Military Academy at West Point where he majored in Portuguese Language Studies. Becoming a Police Officer was only natural for him, as both of his parents served as Deputy Sheriffs in Prince Georgeโ€™s County.

Sgt. Morales joins us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. His fatherโ€™s family came from humble beginnings in Puerto Rico. His grandfather met his wife, who is from Mexico, in Puerto Rico. They sold tacos on the beaches of Puerto Rico from their car, and eventually opened up two successful restaurants. He says they are โ€œa prime example of the American Dream of working hard to achieve your goals.โ€

Sgt. Moralesย  is proud to have become the second Hispanic Sergeant in the CCSOโ€™s history. The first was Retired Sergeant Jerry Torres, #105, for whom Sgt. Morales has a deep respect and admiration. #HispanicHeritageMonth #CCSOPRIDE
