MILLERSVILLE, Md. – On November 15th 2018 at approximately 10:33 a.m. officers responded to a report of a two vehicle crash on Grover Road near Daniels Purchase Way in Millersville.
A Dodge Caliber was southbound on Grover Rd when it lost control and crossed the double yellow centerline. The Dodge was then struck broadside by Ford utility work truck northbound.
The driver of the Dodge, identified as Victoria Lewis-Johnson, 25 of Glen Burnie, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Fire Department personnel. The driver of the Ford, identified as Terrance Smith, 50 of Upper Marlboro, received minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
The primary cause of the crash was the Dodge failing to remain right of center. Contributing circumstances are believed to be the Dodge travelling at a speed greater than reasonable for the snowy conditions. The Traffic Safety Section is handing the investigation and the case will be reviewed by the States Attorney.
