The St. Mary’s County Department of Recreation and Parks would like to announce the installation of rectangular rapid flashing beacons at the intersection of Morganza Turner Road, in the Laurel Grove area of Mechanicsville, and the Three Notch Trail.
The beacons will provide additional warnings to motorists to watch for trail users crossing Morganza Turner Road. Users of the trail can activate the beacon by pushing the button on the pole, located on the trail approximately 40 feet from the intersection. The beacon will then flash for approximately 30 seconds.
