information on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition to crafting, participants will be able to adopt pets and learn about and where to have their pets neutered and spayed.

The shelter serves St. Maryโ€™s, Calvert and Charles counties, and serves 13,000 animals annually. Approximately 1,000 are adopted directly and more than 3,000 pets are sent to local humane shelters, where they are often fostered until joining their long-term families.
