Off duty officer ( David Goff ) was driving his gold dodge ram down 235 with his child, dog and wife in the vehicle. He sees a subject on an ATV and decides to jump out of his vehicle ( while ) in the street and as soon as he jumped out he starting stating f, you, you punk I will be beat your f****** a** and then swings on the subject.
I then witness David Goff having the subject on the ground with his hands behind his back hitting the subject in the head several times for no reason. I screamed, the officer then looked up and saw me, realizing someone saw this and he then stopped. The subject then placed in cuffs and David Goff ( being drunk ) was still in the subjects face saying what are you going to do now your in handcuffs and acting very unprofessional. I had to state to Dep. Repple to pull Mr. Goff away Repple stood there and allowed this.
If we have these kind of people as our law enforcement, we might as well not have any. I am very frustrated that this happened and I want action to be taken, and David Goff to be made aware of , he took his badge way over his head and has no right to beat someone in there head, b/c he has a badge and was drunk.
No breathalyzer was given on the scene, all 5 cops on the scene refused to give David Goff ( the off duty cop one ) but any one else would have gotten one no matter who was around. The wife jumped in the vehicle, in the driver seat to make it look like he wasn’t driving, when he was.
I have never seen anything like this except in movies and there should be a zero tolerance for on or off duty police officer’s under the influence. I would hope that Tim Cameron would not allow a fellow officer to be employed, in regards to this incident.
This probably happens all the time but most of the time there isn’t witnesses around so it’s the cops word against the subject and more than likely, the cop win’s, but this time there was a witness and I was feet away from where this took place, this is unacceptable for a law enforcement officer to act this way.
You can not beat someone in there head ( maybe causing internal injuries ) b/c you are big and bad ( well think you are ) when you drink.. I will see this incident to the end.
