At the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office on June 19 at noon, Lt. David J. Mulholland of the United States Park Police presented Sheriff Mike Evans a framed photo of the United States Capitol in appreciation for the assistance provided by Calvert County Deputies during the fifty-sixth Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C.
Sheriff Evans stated that Calvert sent 15 deputies from Calvert’s highly praised Special Operations unit to assist the Park police where needed. “They helped with crowd control and were on standby for any emergencies, which what they do best. They brought all their equipment so they could respond to any emergency if there was a need,” said Evans.
